My work is about people, community and making space for stories, creativity, and physical and mental well-being.

It’s also informed by socially engaged practice and I work with mission driven arts and cultural organisations and charities to make change. I’m an experienced senior leader in the cultural sector, having worked for 8 years as Director of Engagement and Learning at Theatre Royal Plymouth, strategically leading 50 plus projects (of all sizes) simultaneously.

I also led on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, place-making, Trust and Foundation fundraising and evaluation. Before that, I was CEO at a youth arts NPO (and charity) for 6 years in the Northwest. I’m a skilled project manager and have worked across schools, hospitals, community spaces, Higher Education, prisons, and social care settings, developing, curating, and delivering projects from the ground up.

I have produced work in theatres, as well as community buildings, outdoors and unusual spaces, predominantly developing work with specific communities of interest. All my work centres on facilitating the best environment to support people’s interests and ambitions.

I hold a PhD in Education/Sociology which focused on social class/intersectionality and the impact of these on artists.

I believe, like Walt Whitman, that we all contain multitudes: so, I’ve included on this website all the other things I like to spend time sharing with people: swimming, knitting, photography, and writing.
